Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
