I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
