Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes Teor (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
